About the episode

Pressured into a long-promised dinner with the Simpsons, Krusty the Clown reveals that he was born Herschel Krustofsky and that his father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky, disowned him for choosing comedy over the rabbinate. Bart and Lisa set out to reunite them, but the rabbi rebuffs them until they win him over with a quotation from Sammy Davis Jr., and father and son reconcile on Krusty's show.
