What happens

Apu, the Kwik-E-Mart clerk in a white shirt with green trim and a name tag, works behind the store counter beside a hot dog roller and a sign reading NO CHECKS. He reaches into the roller holding a small white plate, then sets down a huge, grime-caked hot dog on the counter and studies it. He then lifts a filthy hot dog in one hand while balancing a plate in the other, with one leg raised onto the counter and a wary expression on his face.
