What happens

Bart Simpson, the boy with spiky hair in an orange shirt and blue shorts, stands at a classroom chalkboard filled with rows of the line "I DID NOT INVENT IRISH DANCING" as he writes it out, then pauses with chalk in hand before walking away from the board toward a door at the back of the room. Behind him, a wall clock, a red trash can, and rows of student desks are visible, and the chalkboard lines are partly erased or cut off, leaving the last line reading "I DID NOT INVENT IR." Before this, the opening title card shows "THE SIMPSONS" in yellow letters over drifting clouds on a blue sky, which fades in and out across the early frames.
