About the episode

Months after Barney Gumble, fed up with being designated driver, disappears in Homer's car, it turns up in Manhattan, clamped with a parking boot and covered in tickets. Homer, who hated his last trip to New York, reluctantly takes the family to fetch it. While Marge and the kids see the sights, Homer waits all day for the parking officer before smashing the boot off with a jackhammer.
